The donor, Samhita Desaraju, an oboe player who performed with the Charlotte Orchestra, knows firsthand how music can transform lives by bringing people together, uplifting groups, and sparking shared joy.

Chowan Middle School, located in a rural area with limited resources, illustrates the importance of this support. As noted by the project owner, these students are eager to explore music despite challenges, and this innovative vest will help bridge gaps by allowing them to feel music physically. This makes access more inclusive for those with sensory or hearing differences while enhancing every student's connection to rhythm and expression. In a region where advanced tools are scarce, this technology is more than just equipment; it sparks confidence, inclusion, and a lifelong passion. You never know if another Taylor Swift might emerge from this school!

NCSEP’s donation ensures that geography no longer restricts opportunity, transforming scarcity into a symphony.
